In what is apparently the first time a sitting president has appeared on a late night talk show, Barack Obama will appear on Leno this Thursday (11:35 ET on NBC).
I wonder how they handle security and the topics they can cover considering Obama is actively president and not just a...

One can hardly be blamed for missing episodes of SNL, as it's rare to find a truly funny episode in recent years. But I knew when they said that Steve Carell was hosting this season's finale that it had to be pretty good. There were a few off-sketches, and too much John McCain, but at least half...

I decided to check out the return of late-night TV without writers tonight, just to see what they would do. I haven't gotten a chance to watch the recordings of Leno or Letterman (who has his writers), but I did see a chunk of Conan (through the Bob Saget interview). Admittedly it was funny, but...

There's two shows I'm really excited about for the new fall season, 30 Rock and The Office. Even moreso after rewatching episodes from the just released DVDs of their previous seasons. Both shows are kicking off their seasons with one-hour premieres, but will ultimately fill half-hour slots...

My Name is Earl is going to have an episode where viewers can use a scratch and sniff card during the episode to add some extra sensory stimulation to the upcoming show that will air on May 3rd. To take part in it, you've got to get your hands on the scratch 'n sniff card in TV Guide's April 30th...

Two hours of Thank God You're here makes it pretty easy to tell where the show's going and what it's like. And the answer is that it's pretty good. Basically it comes down to how good the comedian is at improv (obviously). And in this case, Kevin Nealon, Bryan Cranston (the dad from Malcolm in the...

Apparently just getting Jack Bauer on Mondays wasn't enough. Now I'm getting caught up on Sunday's Entourage too. And to top all that off, NBC's got their new improv show, Thank God You're Here. It looks like it's got a heck of a cast...everyone from Angel from The Office to Jason Alexander and...

Andy Richter, Tony Hale, and Conan O'Brien producing. Hooked yet? That's the cast of a new NBC show, "Andy Barker, P.I." starting March 15th (9:30/8:30c). The commercial is hilarious, and you can see hints of Tony Hale's Buster character from Arrested Development. NBC has uploaded several clips to...

I'll admit it's been a long time since I've watched SNL, but watching it tonight I actually laughed at most of it.
Some choice Weekend Update quotes:
"This week, Iraq ironically caused regime change in the US." - Amy Poehler, referring to the Democrats' sweep.
"A man survived a gunshot...

I don't usually post as an advertisement unless something really blows me out of the water (for tv shows, things like Entourage, Arrested Development, Colbert Report, etc.). So suffice it to say that this show fell into that category. I already expected to like Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip because...

In case you hadn't heard, there's been a good amount of hype surrounding NBC's new show this fall, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. It's Aaron Sorkin's show, and he's the guy behind Sports Night and The West Wing. I had read that the show actually lives up to the hype, and I found a 3 minute preview...
