Andy Richter, Tony Hale, and Conan O'Brien producing. Hooked yet? That's the cast of a new NBC show, "Andy Barker, P.I." starting March 15th (9:30/8:30c). The commercial is hilarious, and you can see hints of Tony Hale's Buster character from Arrested Development. NBC has uploaded several clips to YouTube, so you know they won't be getting taken down this time :)
What the hell? Is NBC on a roll or what? They already had The Office, Scrubs, Studio 60, 30 Rock...talk about a fresh comedy goldmine!
Hmmm...that commercial didn't wow me, but it still could be good.
One thing that was really jarring with The Winner, was the laugh track. I haven't watched a sitcom with a laugh track in a long time, and it felt really fake.
Also, there were a bunch of episodes online at fox.com, but I couldn't find the pilot. So I was kind of lost.
You're right...they have a bunch of episodes of The Winner up, but not the pilot, which is odd. Though the "Single Dates" Episode (supposedly the second episode) is enough to explain the basic premise.
There's a bunch of Andy Barker clips on YouTube. It looks like a show that will have its moments, but not really be funny throughout. Here's hoping they prove me wrong.
