Yep, they're back from holiday break, and both shows are now in HD! This is awesome, though useless to me until Comcast finally rolls out Comedy Central HD in the downtown Chicago area. But many of the suburbs have it already, so it can't be too far off! I wonder if their online content (both new...

Writers or no writers, I'm so happy to have The Daily Show and Colbert Report return to air tonight. It's been much too long!
There's been some comments made about how Jon and Stephen can't write material since they're part of the WGA (Jay Leno may be in hot water for doing so last week),...

Looks like there's two new shows headed to Comedy Central, both with people that have been on the network before in other shows. Lewis Black is going to have a show called "The Root of All Evil" that sounds like it will be similar to Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn was, except that it won't suck since...

Reasons why the recent move by Viacom to pull their (particularly Comedy Central) content off of YouTube is stupid:
Stephen Colbert can't get people to post up videos like the blue screen contest
He also can't brag about how many clips there are of him on there
No more free advertising for The...

I knew that Sarah Silverman was pretty funny, but her new show, The Sarah Silverman Program, is pretty hilarious. I recommend checking it out. It didn't just have a couple of funny moments, but it was actually funny throughout.
Update: Ah, crap. Turns out it was just a fluke as the show was...

There's a video on CNN about Dave Chappelle leaving the Chappelle show and his more recent reflections on his decision.
He's very candid about the whole thing, mostly saying that he found that the $50 million contract wasn't worth the amount of depression he felt about not having much control...

I gotta say...I'm a Matt Walsh fan. Back on the Upright Citizens Brigade, he was hilarious. Then he was a Daily Show correspondent for a while. He's also great in the movie Martin and Orloff. So of course when I saw the commercial for Comedy Central's new show Dog Bites Man, I was immediately...

Stephen Colbert recently was interviewed by the Onion's AV Club, and actually talked about a lot of interesting things like how he got his start and comparing his show to The Daily Show.
Here's video of the only(?) time he has totally lost it and cracked up on camera, during a piece on the Daily...

I was watching Comedy Central last night and caught an ad saying Chappelle Show is seriously back for a third season. In fact, you can catch a preview of it on Comedy Central's website through their Motherload service. Speaking of which, I need to try that out - it seems to have a lot of cool...

dave submitted a link to a Comedy Central press release about a new internet video channel they're starting.
More interactivity, more irreverence, more fun! COMEDY CENTRAL launched its first broadband-optimized video channel "COMEDY CENTRAL MotherLoad," on Tuesday, November 1, 2005. For the...

David Spade's new show The Showbiz Show with David Spade airs tonight on Comedy Central (at 9:30 and again at 11:30 CST). It's been described as The Daily Show meets Access Hollywood. Another description: "kind of like an expanded version of that snarky Hollywood Minute feature Spade used to do on...

Adam Corolla's new show premieres tonight on Comedy Central at 10:30. I haven't caught a preview of it, but if Loveline and The Man Show have been any indication, this ought to be good. As reported by the futon critic, the show's about his unique comedic take on the events of the day, with a focus...
