I skipped a review last week since it didn't really feel like a regular episode with the cameos and since it was entirely set on the golf course. Not much happened in the way of the plot. But the episode was still pretty entertaining overall.
That said, this week's episode was BRUTAL. I really thought it sucked. The only thing I liked about it is the fact that Ashley seems to be on the way out, which is great because her character is stupid and annoying. But even that may be ruined if they turn the focus back on Sloan, since the whole Sloan/E back-and-forth has also become stupid and annoying. I mean, didn't they already devote the majority of a previous season to E and Sloan? At any rate, this episode was about all the E/Ashley nonsense, Drama went off on one of his stupid obsessions where he can't focus on anything and behaves irrationally, but not in a funny way, and Turtle started school. Vince's life has apparently become nothing more than a string of random, meaningless hookups. They're still not making use of the comedy goldmine they're sitting on with Ari/Lloyd (maybe they're saving it all for the web content?), and instead continued the Andrew storyline with his wife going nuts.
More "Drama" this week
So there's been some setup now for Drama potentially getting fired, E in his new manager role, and Turtle at school. Here's hoping this episode was a fluke, since the rest of the season has been pretty good so far.
This was a review of Episode 72. See more reviews. And here's HBO's music credits for this episode (may not be up yet).
