This week in Entourage - Season 4, Episode 7 TV - Entourage
The Day Fuckers (S4E7)

This week's episode was really odd. And after letting it soak in for a bit, it also seems like it was nothing more than useless filler. It was all about the guys getting laid and Ari's quest to get his kid into school and the whole thing seemed totally detached from anything. Lloyd was in it for 5 seconds for no obvious reason. The T&D adventure was a little funnier than usual, but still just stupid antics. And actually, since Vince and E were basically on their own T&D adventure, that probably explains why this episode felt so weird and misguided.

To be fair, there was the usual hilarity with Ari, though the crying seemed pretty over the top. And I was relieved to see that Sloane won't be re-entering the picture. They've milked that storyline dry, and it had me on pins and needles when E was trying to get it going again.

Hopefully next week we'll get back to some stuff about Medellin and Vince's next project. I really hope they somehow write Billy out of the next project though. I'm pretty much tired of seeing him creating more chaos at this point.

Here's another screencap from this episode, a hilarious shot of Turtle. But I am just linking it because if you haven't seen the episode yet it'll ruin some of the fun if you see this pic beforehand.

This was a review of Episode 49. See more reviews here. And here's HBO's music credits for this episode.

Overall, I thought this episode was a lot funnier than the previous ones. There were several laugh out loud lines, such as Eric's comeback about Drama at a funeral. Granted, the plot didn't really develop, and it's not like we forgot that Eric's a relationship guy, but they did close the Sloane storyline. Or did they? It wouldn't be the first time if they go back on that.

Agreed about Billy, although they do need to go to Cannes and premiere Medellin in the States. There's a lot of places for the story to go.

Can Drama's show get canceled like Arrested Development? He's much better as a loser. Going back to last week, it was hilarious when Edgar said his show sucked .

Yeah, Drama's reaction to that comment was priceless. I don't mind so much that he's not a loser (though they haven't done much to show it), since Turtle seems to hold that position quite nicely all by himself.

But Turtle's not a loser. He was always successful in getting them hooked up with awesome stuff. He was the perfect gopher/driver.

Drama was unsuccessful, Turtle always got stuff done.

I meant in terms of career. And it's not a bad thing. Like you said, he's the one that gets stuff done.

This one was the worst of the season. It made me laugh a few times, but it was mostly stupid, and espcially after this season had been more focused.

Also, I'm really tired of Drama.

What made Seinfeld great was how they had an A, B, C, and D storyline woven seamlessly together. They were almost always separate stories, but somehow interconnected. What's going on with Entourage now is they have a couple of plots that have hardly anything to do with each other. In this episode, they were connected, but you get the idea.

I'm tired of Drama, too, but he had a great line. "What's mean is when I made (some girl) ride her bike home after I ass fucked her."
