This week in Entourage - Season 3, Episode 15 TV - Entourage
Talk about a ridiculous ending! I thought for sure that Amanda was just testing Vince, and then she really wasn't?!? I liked the parallel of Ari and E/Vince being too soft and manipulated easily. And of course seeing Ari go back to his old self and be an even bigger asshole than usual was great ("Get the fuck out!!"). You just knew he couldn't live with himself if he decided to go soft.

But this was yet another episode where not much happened in terms of the plot and was just about the characters themselves. It seemed like a really short episode. When are they going to finally move the plot along? I'm still curious about how Ari is going to get Medellin worked out for Vince.

And no word on what happened with the guys on Spring Break, or E and Sloane? Those stories could probably be a full episode.

What were the writers doing that whole time between the first part of season 3 and the second? The show really isn't itself. But it seems kind of obvious what must happen. Vince does Amanda. There's still sexual tension. Ari delivers Medellin. Vince goes back to Ari. Lloyd has been great, Amanda hasn't.

I was just thinking before it happened about how I missed the 'old' Ari. I didn't really notice how soft Vince and Eric had become.

The Amanda thing had been set-up earlier when she was talking about her divorce. Then at the beginning of this episode she's in her underwear so that we all think she's hot.

I just remembered Ari's "Good Day" salute to his wife and the therapist. Great stuff.

It's not that great. It never has been. It has it's moments--the great monologues, the great one-liners, but it's never been that solid on plot or whatever.

In general, non-comparable terms, it's not that great of a show. But there's so few outstanding shows, that Entourage has earned can't-miss status.

Also, it's especially relevant that the greatest moments in the series, have been related to Ari. His speech in this episode to his wife and therapist couldn't have been any better. It reminded me of the best part of the series, when he was screaming in the parking garage.

But the fact remains, few episodes have lived up the anticipation that I have for it. It's fun to watch, but usually not that fulfilling.

Yeah, you're both right about the plot being predictable and not really driving the show, but there's usually been some sense of purpose to it. Whether it was Vince and Mandy Moore's relationship, Aquaman, or even something as simple as Turtle trying to get his shoes. It seems like the 2nd half of Season 3 has (so far) had very little of that. It's like they don't think they need to come up with some plot excuse to drive any kind of story. Nothing has changed regarding Medellin since three episodes ago! The whole drama of E and Sloane's getaway last episode felt like nothing but stupid filler.

You're definitely right that the best moments come from Ari. There's no question that when he's frantic or being an even bigger dick than usual, you've got the show's greatest moments. I'll never look at Jeremy Piven the same again :)

The show is great so go blow yourself. Stop watching it if it makes you unhappy or it no longer delivers for you

You made your point so convincingly, that I believe that I am, in fact, retarded. I will now proceed to go blow myself, as clearly that will not be pleasant.
