nirajsanghvi.com redesigned! (sort of) Meta
It's not a very drastic change, but I liked the look already. Instead, it's more of a bunch of design tweaks. At any rate, you may have to hit refresh (maybe even a few times) to see the changes. You'll know it's right if it looks like the image below. I've given everything - stories on the main page as well as the navigation boxes on the left and right a tabular look. While doing that, I made some other tweaks that you may or may not notice.

I am aware of a small bug in Internet Explorer where the right border on stories appears shifted for some stories. This bug does not appear in Firefox, and I eventually gave up on trying to fix it in IE. For anyone that's not already aware, getting stylesheets to work right in IE is a pain in the ass.

Let me know what you think!

Why would anybody be using Internet Explorer. Mozilla Firefox is the best web-browser available!

It's a good thing that kid was there to set you straight before you got comfortable using the sub-par Safari ;)

By the way, does everything look fine in Safari? I'm curious now.

I meant to comment on the look yesterday, but the site too friggin' long to load. It appears to be faster today.

On all the sidebar boxes, I don't like how the blue border doesn't connect at the top right of the box. And how the tab part of the top of the box has the blue line that sticks down in to the shaded area. Seems odd

Which browser are you using? The screenshot I took was from Internet Explorer and there was no break there, but I didn't see a break in Firefox either. Is it a Safari or a Firefox on Mac thing?

I liked the line extending on the tab. Originally I wasn't intending to do that, but when I created it by accident, I liked the look. It looks particularly good on the stories on the main page since there's that additional line with the date. Maybe I'll ditch it on the sidebars though. I liked the fact that it made the titles sort of pop out in an almost 3D sense.

I actually sent an email about the site slowness yesterday since it was excessive. Looks like it is at least somewhat back to normal.
