Yes, it is true. I am a sucker for movie promotions granting free stuff. Today, I got 2 exciting things.

The first was a cryptex as a result of being one of the first 10,000 to complete The Da Vinci Code Quest on Google, a joint promotion for the upcoming Da Vinci Code movie and for Google's personalized homepage, which I already used. As there's only 10,000 of these, they're going for around $60 on ebay right now.




The second item was from the Airplane: Don't Call Me Shirley! Edition DVD that I got a while back. There was a free mini inflatable Otto the Pilot offer that came with the Airplane! DVD, which I obviously could not pass up. (I see one going on Ebay for $30) And of course, true to the movie, they put the inflation tube on his belt.

    I also ordered the Otto the auto-pilot, they JUST cashed my check 5 days ago and I have moved. Anyone (specifically the author who just received one) have the paperwork or an address/phone number from the order form so I can try to get ahold of them. If I don't receive Otto, I just don't know what I'll do!! my email is srusby@hotmail.com Thanks!

    Anonymous, if you just moved, you can have the post office forward your mail and since this package just ships via USPS, you will still get it. You can sign up online ($1) or get a card at your post office (free) to forward your mail. I'm pretty sure I already threw out the packaging/letter I got so I don't have anymore info, but you should get it by forwarding your mail.

    thanks for the info...that was helpful to know it shipped via the post office (vs. UPS or FedEx), I did notify for a change of address, but I live(d) in San Francisco in the Presidio, and they don't forward well from there, but there's a 50/50 shot I might get it. anyway, thanks!

    Unfortunately the only place I have seen the offer is with the "Don't Call Me Shirley" edition of the Airplane! DVD. As this has been out since December, my guess is the promotion was a limited time thing that would have ended by now.

      Hi, I am desperatley trying to get an inflatable Otto as a gift for my son. I have tried everywhere, ebay, Paramount Video, who did not reply. I even bought the 'Dont call me Shirley' edition of Airplane to add to all the other copies we have, but the leaflet was not included and I think I missed out. If anyone can help me with information I would be very grateful. Thanks.

        There used to be some on eBay and while there aren't any now, someone might put one up. But it looks like they were only available for a limited time and not that many are floating around. Maybe try Craigslist?

    i am also looking for otto, my boss is is hanging up his wings and moving on. he has been looking for otto forever but no luck if anyone has an extra or know were to find one please let me know
