Vermont local news
reports on a teenager getting caught for trying to pass off a $20 he photocopied. Reasons he got caught: the bill was too small, it was not cut straight, and it was evident that it was printed on printer paper.
Adam P. Cole, 17, is due in Vermont District Court in Rutland on Monday to answer two felony counterfeiting charges. One charge involves photocopying the bill, the other is trying to spend it.
He could be sentenced to 14 years in prison on each charge.
