      I think the real question is how would teleportation work. If you jumped out of a burning building, and you were falling towards the concrete, and you teleported, would still be traveling at 100 mph towards the center of the earth?

        That would depend on which way the teleportation device is facing, if you do maintain your previous velocity. If you didn't though, would it feel like you had slammed into an invisible wall?
